Summer is here and more of us are getting out and enjoying the weather. As we all know, Central Texas is HOT! We’re talking triple digit heat hot, so hydration plays a big role in our performance as runners. Choosing the right time is key to ensuring that we get the best run possible, but sometimes, no matter the choices we make, there are barriers that keep us from running the way we’d like. It’s not uncommon for runners to have nagging injuries, especially those who have been running for a long period of time. But is running in pain the life you want to live?
Whether it’s chronic pain, or something that has just started, it’s important you understand what the pain is and how you can address it. The experts at Momentum Physical Therapy have worked with a lot of runners and have managed a lot of issues that these runners have had to endure. The good news is that with proper care and a team of PT’s, you can get back to what you love. The bad news…well there isn’t any, unless you call taking a few days off to heal and plan for a pain free existence after talking to your PT.
