San Antonio Balance Problems and BPPV

Roughly 20% of patients who suffer from dizziness or vertigo have BPPV (benign paroxysmal positional vertigo). Momentum Physical Therapy provides rehabilitation services to patients with vertigo. Patient education, strengthening, safety awareness, posture and balance exercise, walking exercise, and special techniques that affect sensory and balance centers of the brain and limbs are all important components of our rehabilitation program.

Balance Rehabilitation with Momentum Physical Therapy

Our San Antonio physical therapists create individualized plans to treat each patient’s balance problems. Based on the source of the balance problem, which could result from inner ear, muscle, joint, vision issues or more, different measures will be taken. The ultimate goal is to improve the patient’s strength and mobility for improved balance and a reduced risk of falling. This is achieved through manual physical therapy, prescribed exercises and patient education.
