Journey to Physical Therapy:

My dream to become a physical therapist started when I was a child. After my grandmother was in a life changing accident, I watched her make huge strides in therapy thanks to a team of physical and occupational therapists. Growing up, my desire to become a physical therapist was magnified by my passion for sports and healthy living. I joined St. Edward’s University in Austin as a NCAA Division II cross country athlete where I learned about the different aspects of rehab and sport injuries. At St. Edward’s University, I graduated with a BA in Kinesiology with a focus in physical therapy. After attending St. Edward’s, I began my doctorate program at University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, where I developed a love for orthopedic physical therapy. My goal as a therapist is to help every patient get back to the things they love.

Path to Clinical Excellence:

As an orthopedic therapist, I love to treat a variety of populations from geriatrics to athletes. I am passionate about learning and am currently working towards a certification in Less Silverman Voice Technique (LSVT) Big to serve patients with neurodegenerative diseases. I am also starting a PhD program in physical therapy so that I can provide research on sport specific measures and clinical education to members of our field.  My philosophy is that there is always something new to learn, no matter how big or how small.

Giving Back:

As a native to the small town of Floresville Texas, I am thrilled to be part of a team to give back to my community. As a member and volunteer for multiple organizations in Floresville, I hope to continue to make an impact on members of rural areas.
