IT’S NOT JUST A JOB

As a physical therapist, I am eager to come to work each day to meet and help some new and exciting people. I approach each day in the clinic with a great sense of pride and strive to provide the best care available to each patient I treat. Whether I am having a simple conversation with a patient or helping them meet their rehabilitation goals, I truly enjoy every patient interaction and recognize the importance of establishing rapport with each patient. Being a physical therapist allows me to work with amazing people of all walks of life and creates a constantly changing environment that is full of challenges. This is why I feel being a physical therapist is not just a job, but also an adventure!

THE VALUE OF AN EDUCATION

One of my mentors once told me: “Just because you graduate from school doesn’t mean you stop learning.” This is a core principal I follow because I know learning is a lifelong process. I also know that the more that I learn, the better enabled I am to help my patients get back to life! I achieve this by staying current on all research and literature available and continuing to learn from each individual patient experience. I also go to every avenue to educate all of my patients on their condition, how I plan on helping them in their recovery, what they should expect while in therapy, what they can do to assist the healing process, and what they can do to prevent the issue from coming back.

SERVING THE COMMUNITY

Working with and being involved in the community is a great honor, which I gladly take part in on a regular basis. I have participated in numerous charitable opportunities that include: organizing Habitat for Humanity builds for both my alma mater and church, working with San Antonio Road Runners, and volunteering at local high schools for strength and conditioning summer camps. I believe that being involved in the community helps to build a stronger society that we live in and benefit from.
