"I strive to teach all my patients long-term habits and how to continue to improve their own physical health. Once your therapist, always your therapist!"

About

THE BEGINNING

I realized my desire to work in the medical field from the time I was in high school. As I progressed through my education at Texas A&M University, I was drawn towards physical therapy because of how important it was for me to be in a field where I could develop personal relationships with patients while guiding their progress from beginning to end.

I spent several years in college volunteering at multiple physical therapy clinics where I observed the knowledge and positive impact each therapist made on their patients. As I saw how rewarding the work of physical therapists can be, I knew that this was the career for me.

NEVER STOP LEARNING

Upon graduating with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of St.  Augustine in Austin, I moved back to my hometown of San Antonio, where I made the decision to pursue a specialty in orthopedics. During my residency, I was exposed to the highest quality clinicians, evidence-based treatments, and clinical skill sets focused on orthopedics. Additionally, it enhanced my ability to assess, diagnose, and treat all conditions typically seen in the outpatient orthopedic setting. Once the year-long residency was completed, I obtained my board certification as an Orthopedic  Clinical Specialist. Additionally, I gained certification in trigger point dry needling and continued education in blood flow restriction training, pain neuroscience education (PNE), nerve and chronic pain.

As with any medical field, physical therapy is constantly advancing and gaining newly validated evidence and research. Ensuring we are constantly pursuing new knowledge helps us to get our patients better faster. As a clinician, I strongly believe that it is our duty and responsibility to never stop learning to do our part to ensure patients receive the best care possible. I am very passionate about what I do and love the opportunity to meet all types of people while I work. So come on by! I can’t wait to meet you!

OUTSIDE THE CLINIC

When not working in the clinic, I enjoy outdoor activities including training for half marathons (12 completed thus far), hiking various trails around the San Antonio area,  and paddle-boarding on Boerne Lake. I also love to read and aim to complete at least one book every month (recommendations are always welcome). I am originally from  San Antonio but moved away for several years. Now that I am back in my hometown,  I look forward to exploring the city more and of course helping my patients achieve their goals and get them back to doing what they love!
