WHEN I KNEW I WANTED TO BE A PT
One of the most influential family members I had growing up was my grandmother. She helped raise me when I was young. When I was in high school, she began having trouble walking and she couldn’t grip things very well. She went through physical therapy and I saw the change it brought to her and her quality of life. It allowed her to become her old self again, and she was much happier. The following summer, I applied to college to begin my journey towards my dream career. Now, I get the chance to affect the same change in other peoples’ lives as physical therapy did for my grandmother. To this day, she still gets up every morning and does her exercises!
BEST OF BOTH WORLDS
I grew up playing sports, such as wrestling, football, and basketball. I always enjoyed being physically active and learning how to move the human body. I also enjoyed working with others and helping people achieve their goals. From helping others on my sports teams to volunteering for soup kitchens, Special Olympics, and camps for blind and deaf youth. I found physical therapy allowed me to learn more about how the physical human body works while helping and working with other people to achieve their goals.
MAKING SAN ANTONIO HOME
I have lived in a few places during my adult life. I have lived in Nebraska, Utah, Colorado, and now have settled in San Antonio, TX. I love enjoying the warm weather, visiting various parks and trails, fishing, hiking, and going to the beach, only a couple of hours away. A close second to my passion for physical therapy is my passion for good food, and there’s plenty of it in San Antonio! I look forward to continuing exploring the city for more delicious food and fun activities, on top of helping people reach their physical therapy goals!
