FOUNDATION OF CLINICAL EXCELLENCE
I have worked as an Occupational Therapist since 1993 and love what I do! I have had the opportunity to work in many settings. This well-rounded experience has given me opportunities to work with people with all types of injuries or physical challenges and to see how hand function affects their lives. This is one of the things that has deeply affected me and developed my passion for hand therapy. I worked for several years as a hand therapist advancing my clinical expertise and knowledge and then finally took the certification test and became a Certified Hand Therapist or CHT. I believe it is so important to continue to learn and improve myself as a person and a CHT professional.
PEOPLE ARE MY FOCUS
During my Physical Therapy school experience, I had amazing professors who imparted a plethora of wisdom and knowledge that will serve me well for years to come. My educational experience will never be fully complete, as I will always strive to continue expanding my knowledge base to better help patients I treat. Whether it is reading up on the most recent research, completing relevant continuing education courses, and practicing the latest treatment techniques in the clinic, I will always continue my learning to be the best therapist I can be.
FAMILY AND COMMUNITY
Family is so important and my life has focused on them. When my son was young, I was a USA Swimming Stroke and Turn O fficial for his club and high school swim meets. I participate in a lot of community service, particularly through church. I love what I do professionally and I enjoy sharing that passion and my knowledge and experiences as a clinical instructor for new Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistants. I have taken the opportunity to provide community instruction on Stress Management and Hands at Work. I would be honored to have the opportunity to be a part of your care!
