PASSION FOR PT
Wow, do I love my job! It is so fulfilling that I get to spend precious time with other individuals helping them reach their goals. I particularly enjoy working in an outpatient clinical setting, as I get to know and treat the community—from infants to seniors of all different backgrounds, cultures, impairment, and injuries. While I love treating all types of complaints and conditions, I have a particular passion for treating patients with back pain, neck pain, vertigo, chronic pain, and nerve pain.
After graduating with a Doctorate from Regis University in Denver, I moved to the San Antonio area to pursue my specialty in orthopedics by participating in a year-long residency through Evidence in Motion. Subsequently, I obtained my board certification as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist. Additionally, I have continuing education in the realms of Pain Neuroscience Education, vestibular dysfunction and dizziness, nerve pain, chronic pain, headaches, and bariatrics.
To me, teaching is to give to others what has been given to me that we may grow individually and together. I very much enjoy teaching patients about their bodies and pain and how to regain control through movement. Many times you will see me training and treating with a student physical therapist during their internship or a resident training to be a specialist. It is my privilege to get to teach and shape the next generation of physical therapists. Thank you to all patients who help in this teaching process! Without you, our professional growth would be impossible!
