From a young age, I was involved in many different sports throughout the year. My love for athletics continued through high school and I played basketball and tennis at a competitive level. As I began considering potential careers, I desired to pursue a field that allowed me to stay involved with athletics in some manner. In college, the realm of healthcare was of general interest to me, but it wasn’t until I as able to shadow a physical therapist that I felt an immediate draw to rehabilitation. After graduating from Baylor University, I pursued my Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of Texas Health Science Center here in San Antonio. Looking forward to the future, I desire to pursue advanced manual therapy training in order tp continue my ability to best serve any patient that comes my way.

A calling in life
In my path to becoming a physical therapist, I have spent much time and effort in learning about the human body, biomechanics and exercise. The more time I spend in the field, the more I come to appreciate the concept of restoration of original design and function. I take pleasure in getting to play an integral part in helping patients achieve restoration of a component of their health, allowing them to return to activities important to them. I love that the tools I have as a physical therapist can apply to so many different situations and events a person can go through. More and more I realize that I am not only addressing the “physical” impact of an event in one’s life, but I am able to help bring holistic well-being. I am truly blessed to be able to interact with people in this manner.
Love the community
I see the city of San Antonio as a place that I can aim to improve in my own small way. The health of our city on the whole is a concern of mine and an area where I want to be able to share more of my expertise as opportunities arise. So far, I have enjoyed serving via outlets such as Haven for Hope and Kinetic Kids, coming ni contact with people in need in a very personal manner. I desire to be able to play a part in holistic restoration of individuals not just in the office, but throughout the city.
