How It All Began

I was exposed to the field of medicine and health care very early on in life, growing up with a mom who was a nurse. During my sophomore year of high school, my Mom and I moved from Pennsylvania to Texas. As a senior in high school, I did extensive research on colleges in Texas and already knew I wanted to be a Physical Therapist. The ability to establish relationships and connections with people while helping them get back to functioning at 100% is what drew me to Physical Therapy. I have now lived in the great state of Texas for 10 years and am happy to call San Antonio home.

My Journey

Throughout my life, I have always been passionate about helping people. Throughout my academic career, I always received my highest grades while studying Anatomy. After graduating high school, because of its esteemed Physical Therapy program, I decided to apply to Texas State University. I completed my undergraduate degree before applying to Texas State’s Physical Therapy program. After graduating from Physical Therapy school, I decided to begin my career with Momentum Physical Therapy. Working in a top notch orthopedic practice was a great place for me to begin my career. The human body is fascinating. I enjoy solving the mystery of what caused a patient’s symptoms and getting them back to a better quality of life. To further improve my skills and better serve my patients, I will begin a manual based orthopedic fellowship in late 2016.
I am new to San Antonio and am excited to learn more about and also help contribute to the community through volunteer efforts during my free time. I have a dog, a Boxer named Xena, who I enjoy spending time with. I also enjoy practicing fitness and health through running, lifting weights, yoga, and cooking. With all the different cultures that make up the San Antonio community, I’m sure I’ll be adding some new recipes to my list very soon!
