Learning at Every Opportunity
Every day provides a unique opportunity to learn something new. In addition to teaching my patients, I believe that each patient offers something new for me to learn . I strive to continue my education through formal continuing education courses, in-services, and interaction with my colleagues and patients. Continuing my education with new, proven techniques, in addition to continually improving my current techniques, will allow me to provide the best care possible to my patients.
I was first introduced to physical therapy as a patient after a knee injury while in high school. After a survey course in college, I was re-introduced to physical therapy through a series of interviews I conducted. It was at this point I discovered physical therapy was my calling. I found learning and practicing the combined art and science, which make up physical therapy, to be very exciting. I strive to pass that excitement along to my patients.
Serving The Community
I have been involved with community service since a young age, whether with groups providing housing and food, increasing community access to healthcare through construction, and a variety of benefit activities for local hospitals, awareness, and support groups. All of these allow me to serve the community, meet a wide variety of interesting people, and provide a well-rounded lifestyle to both the people I serve and myself.
